Nikki Vera

Director of Marketing & Communication

Nikki Vera is a seasoned marketing and communications leader with nearly 15 years of experience dedicated to advancing the performing arts. Her career includes influential roles at MCC Theatre, Playwrights Realm, and New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW), as well as consulting for a range of respected theatrical institutions and groups.

Beyond her in-house work, Nikki has co-founded transformative initiatives within the arts and activist spaces. She is co-founder of The BLKSPACE Residency, a sanctuary that provides rest and inspiration for Black creatives, activists, and innovators. She is also one of the co-visionaries behind InterFest, an innovative three-day arts and ideas festival hosted at The Harlem School of the Arts. In 2017, InterFest made waves by presenting the first reading of Aleshea Harris’ celebrated play, What to Send Up When It Goes Down.

Through her leadership and deep commitment to storytelling and inclusivity, Nikki has made a lasting impact on organizations and initiatives committed to empowering the arts and creating space for Black voices.
