Kyra Shaw-Davis – 2025 Cohort
Producer
Kyra Shaw-Davis is a Southern multidisciplinary artist working at the intersection of acting, playwriting, and producing. Her work centers on the stories of underrepresented voices, with a particular focus on the complexities, power, and legacy of Black women.
She was a member of the inaugural class of the Uptown Collective’s Renaissance Playwright Residency and is currently a Producing Fellow at The Tank NYC. Kyra is passionate about creating space and expanding access for emerging Black artists who are still finding their voice. Her work is grounded in community, care, and the radical act of living unapologetically.
Selected acting credits include Law and Order: Organized Crime, Jitney (Rena), Intimate Apparel (Esther), and The Christians (Elizabeth). Writings: SugarHill (Playwrights Horizons Downtown), Lot #18 (Brooklyn Art Haus, The Tank).
