Director Of Finance

Abisola Pat Faison – “I owe my Life as a LIBERATOR to Dr. Barbara Ann Teer.” From Washington, DC, Abisola was drawn to and came to join the NBT in 1969.  She was in the NBT Repertory Company from 1970 until 1983.  In 1973, she accepted the invitation to join the NBT staff as administrative assistant to Dr. Teer and to deepen her commitment to building a permanent institution.  Abisola was also a trained guide of NBT performing courses from 1979 to 1994. She  was the project manager of NBT’s documentary, “The Quest.” She simultaneously served as real estate manager upon the 1983 purchase of NBT’s property and then was the administrator for NBT’s real estate development project of its first historical landmark building. She then became the Director of Finance in 1995. “For me, Dr. Teer and NBT was, has and always will be the answer to my prayer for liberation, a joyous learning adventure and an apex of culture shaping for people of color.”
