Nabii Faison

Donald Nabii Faison, joined the National Black Theatre as a student in 1968 and soon became a part of the theatre’s research and development team of artists. In 1972, Faison was appointed musical director for NBT and toured extensively with the company in Africa, the Caribbean, South America, North America, and Japan. Nabii was a 1982: recipient of AUDELCO award for Outstanding Musical Creator. He still serves as an NBT senior staff member and also as the theatre’s design consultant. Faison attended Hobart College as a political science major and graduated from NYU’s Commercial Building Maintenance & Management Program.
